Personality
Briar’s fairly quiet with strangers—and she’s not the first person you’d notice when stepping into a room. She’s not overly loud, obnoxious, or arrogant—but makes little side comments or suggestions that make you think once over once you process them.
When you get to know her, Briar can be quite playful and ready to voice her opinion. While not particularly brave on her own, she has an inner call for daring acts and thrill that she fuels by blocking out her own fear of being hurt. She’s typically quite kind and gentle, but easy to irritate, but she has a strong sense of vengeance and justice that fuels most of all her actions and comments—as well as a pretty short-fused temper. She’s pretty oblivious to all things romance, and can be slightly naïve at times.
History
Briar doesn’t care much for the surface of the world. Actually, it’s more of the people that she doesn’t care for, and the scenery she loves. Don’t get me wrong, Briar will defend her home of the ocean quite fiercely—but after fourteen good years of exploring the world of underwater—Briar began to set her sights higher.
Quite literally.
The girl, fish, girlfish—grew up as averagely as one of her decent does. Born, grew some, had some siblings along the way, swam around and grew in her own culture. In fact, nothing really remarkable happened to her. No saving drowning men from their doom, no drowning men to their doom—no falling in love, or winning an Oscar—simply growing up in a seemingly perfect world.
But perfect gets boring after awhile, and in the past year or so—Briar has been wandering more on land than in the ocean. More to do, more to explore, more adventure for this girl with a heart longing for change from perfect.

…? Well, her younger brother once called her Lizzy, as Briar was hard to pronounce—but Briar wasn’t too fond of the name. When Briar’s particularly irritable, some of her friends call the girl ‘Thorn’ (her last name which so pleasantly fits into the situation).
