While he may seem distant at first, Nikolai is a very nice young man at heart. He just takes a while to warm up to someone he doesnt know. He is most definitely the quiet type however, and often doesnt say anything at all. He would much rather listen than speak.
He is very comforted by smithing, and will be found there more often than he should be. He often gets lost in his work and doesnt realize what time it is.
He loves that he can create something out of nothing, and that he helps to protect the land with his creations.
He is a skilled swordfighter and takes pride in this as well.
History
Nikolai had a decent childhood - he was middle class, you would say. His father was a blacksmith with a decent shop, and he provided weapons to the kingdom. Nick's mother passed away during childbirth, with his younger sister who was born 8 years after he was.
From a very young age, Nikolai was interested in learning the trade of blacksmithing. He would be in the shop all the time, watching and learning from his father. He became quite talented, at making both weapons and armor, as well as smaller things such as rings and the like.
His father recently passed away and left the smithy to Nikolai, who continues to make weapons for the kingdom. He and his sister Circe both live at the smithy as well.
